MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, March 8, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Montreal rock band Rival is pleased to announce the release of their debut album Tales From The Bluesy Tomb which will be available March 14 on itunes, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play, Bandcamp and www.rivalband.com.It is not uncommon these days for a band to record their own material, especially for a Demo or EP, but a full 14 track album? Most would suck it up and pay the bill for studio time, an engineer and who knows what else, but there are the few, the courageous, the naive that will say “oh sure, let’s do it ourselves. We’ll be done in 6 months!”... It took Rival two years. During this time Rival has been exceptionally active in the Montreal scene, playing the mid-sized and smaller venues in and around town. The group was honored to place second in a showcase beating out dozens of other bands and musical acts in 2016.
Everything for Tales From The Bluesy Tomb was done in “The Bluesy Tomb”, which is the nickname of their jam space. From recording drums, guitars and vocals, to mixing, building recording booths out of couches, competing with other rehearsing bands down the hall for a moment of silence, band members Jeremy, Adam, Mike and Matt overcame every obstacle and the result is an undeniably professional, rare and dynamic rock album.
Rival’s energetic and ardent performance in Gone Too Far and Jackie Dee, are perfect illustrations of the varied moods throughout the album.
