Sheeran, born in 1991, will be performing in Hungary for the first time. Hailing from Halifax, England, the musician released his first, much acclaimed album called "+" in 2011. According to the press release, he will perform on the main stage of the festival, playing the "perfect soundtrack to Szigetʼs Love Revolution in August 2019." Sziget, often dubbed "Europeʼs answer to Glastonbury," will be one of the last stations of Sheeranʼs "÷" tour.

Over 565,000 people attended the festivalʼs last edition, organizers say. The fifth largest festival in the world will run between August 7 and 13 in 2019.

Yesterday, Sziget posted a YouTube video of Sheeran greeting Hungarian fans. Starting October 1, "Szitizen Prime" passes will be on sale for fans eager to see one of Europeʼs most unique artists.
