It looks like Tish Cyrus and her youngest daughter, Noah Cyrus, are moving past the family drama that had fans speculating for nearly two years.
In a fun TikTok posted by Noah on April 9, the mother-daughter duo showed off their dance moves to the catchy track “Pop Muzik” by M. The video had fans cheering, as the two synced up perfectly in a playful routine. “Mommyyy,” Noah wrote in the caption, joking about potentially stepping into her mom’s podcast. She teased, “Guess who’s replacing Brandi @Sorry We’re Cyrus,” referencing Tish and her daughter Brandi Cyrus’ podcast.
Their cute post comes after months of rumors that there was serious tension between them. Reports had previously claimed that Noah was romantically linked to Prison Break star Dominic Purcell before he started dating Tish in 2022. According to Us Weekly, Tish was “aware” of Noah’s connection to Dominic when she began her own relationship with him.
Things really seemed complicated when Noah and her brother Braison Cyrus skipped Tish and Dominic’s wedding in 2023. Fans noticed Noah was even spotted wearing a Billy Ray Cyrus T-shirt that same day, appearing to show support for her dad after his divorce from Tish in 2022.
Although both Tish and Noah stayed quiet about the rumored feud, they’ve been making small moves toward repairing their relationship. In May 2024, Noah gave her mom a sweet shoutout for her birthday, posting an old photo of them together on her Instagram Story with the message, “Happy birthday mom.” Tish later cheered on Noah publicly, congratulating her on landing a new modeling contract in an Instagram post that June.
Meanwhile, the Cyrus family’s drama hasn’t completely calmed down. Earlier this year, leaked audio revealed more about Billy Ray’s strained relationships with Tish and some of their kids. And just months ago, Trace criticized their dad for how he treated the family after his performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration ball. Billy Ray responded by saying he was “praying” for the family.
As for Noah, she seems to be turning to music to process it all. She recently dropped a song, “Don’t Put It All On Me,” with lyrics written by her brother Braison. In a press release to Cosmopolitan, Noah shared, “I have always been the observer in our family, and Braison wrote about how I tend to carry the weight of that on my shoulders.”
She added, “We all want to connect with our past while also being aware of the present moment. Music does that for me, and this new collection of songs was made with that in mind. I want to evoke that feeling of a comforting friend that a song can be — and allow us all to heal.”
