Holmen opened their season with a game at Viking Field against Eau Claire North this afternoon.

HOLMEN, Wis. (WXOW) – Holmen opened their season with a game at Viking Field against Eau Claire North this afternoon.

The Vikings took an early lead and secured a victory.

In the bottom of the first inning, Abe Henderson of Holmen hit a grounder into right field, allowing two runs to score. The Vikings led 2-0.

During the second inning, the Vikings continued their momentum with runners on base. Nolan Mashak hit a base hit to left, scoring another run and extending the lead to 3-0.

Eau Claire North attempted a comeback in the top of the third inning. Zach Shipman hit the ball high into center field, allowing a runner on third to tag and score.

Despite Eau Claire North's efforts, Holmen held on to win the game. Vikings take down the Huskies.

Cooper Kruschke had a hit and a run for the Huskies. Joe Meeter had a hit and two runs and Jude Anderson had a hit and a run for the Vikings.
