Trump calls America a 'patient who is healing' now his 'operation is over'

The Orange Manbaby has decimated globalisation and the world order with his 'Liberation Day' tariff announcement that will see taxes loaded on imports from all corners of the world

Donald Trump has compared the US to a patient who is healing after an operation in the wake of his tariff announcement that tore up the world order. The Orange Manbaby gave the green light to a tax blitz on imports from all corners of the globe, calling it a 'Liberation Day' special, meaning goods from the UK will get slapped with an extra 10% at customs as they enter America.

Despite the stateside shocker, Downing Street has not hit back with tit-for-tat tariffs just yet, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer assured Parliament this week he would be taking a "calm, pragmatic approach" and steadfastly "keeping our feet on the ground".

Despite Yanks bracing for blowback on their wallets with higher-priced imports, Trump took to his social media site to share a much more upbeat message. He wrote on Truth Social: "THE OPERATION IS OVER! THE PATIENT LIVED, AND IS HEALING.

"THE PROGNOSIS IS THAT THE PATIENT WILL BE FAR STRONGER, BIGGER, BETTER, AND MORE RESILIENT THAN EVER BEFORE. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

In his rambling speech, Trump asserted that South Korea, Japan, and "many other nations" were overcharging the US for goods. He boasted: "As a result of these colossal trade barriers, 81% of the cars in South Korea are made in South Korea," and added, "94% of the cars in Japan are made in Japan."

Trump continued by alleging that "Toyota sells 1 million foreign-made automobiles in the United States and General Motors sells very little."

He further claimed: "None of our companies are allowed to go into other countries."

Although he proceeded with his speech, an observant listener quickly highlighted the mistake. One Twitter user quipped, "90% of Japanese cars are made in Japan. Lol," and criticised, "Trump is too old and senile but maga eat up everything he says."

Reports suggest that Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is considering "every option" as he mulls over an "appropriate" reaction to the new tariffs. The Washington Post has reported that the Japanese Government may also be contemplating a retaliatory tariff.

"If you say, 'Fine, let's have an offensive method. What can we threaten America with?' The irony is - very, very little," quipped Jesper Koll, a Tokyo-based economist and investor.

In a bit of a blunder, Trump apparently exited the stage post-speech, only to be guided back to sign the tariff-imposing bill. Caught on video, the 78 year old president is seen all smiles and waves to the crowd before he was nudged back to the signing desk by an official.
