"I'm back," said Rodgers on social media.
The junior forward sat out last season after deciding to redshirt.
Rodgers started in all 38 games for Illinois in 2023-24, averaging 6.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
It comes as welcome news after three Illini entered the transfer portal last weekend including Morez Johnson, Tre White and Carey Booth.
