Symphony on the Prairie 2025: Disney music, Michael Jackson tribute and more

The coming balmy summer nights will usher in the return of an Indianapolis tradition: a new season of Symphony on the Prairie. In 2025, the outdoor concert series at Conner Prairie, programmed by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, will comprise 10 weekends and 21 performances between June 27 and Aug. 30.

The symphony will play the first 11 concerts through July, which include movie music and tributes to famous bands like Fleetwood Mac. August will bring more tributes from bands paying homage to the Beatles, Neil Diamond and Michael Jackson, among others.

Symphony on the Prairie 2025 schedule

Unless otherwise noted, concerts begin at 8 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m.

  • June 27: Tusk, a Fleetwood Mac tribute.
  • June 28: Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA.
  • July 3-5: Star-Spangled Symphony, conducted by Alfred Savia with Byron Stripling on trumpet and vocals.
  • July 11-12: Disney in Concert: Once Upon a Time, conducted by Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly and featuring animated film sequences from "Encanto," "Frozen," "Beauty and the Beast," "Cinderella" and more.
  • July 18-19: John Williams and Friends, with Everly conducting film score excerpts from composers including Hans Zimmer.
  • July 25: The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston, with vocalist Belinda Davids and Principal Guest Conductor of Pops Enrico Lopez-Yañez.
  • July 26: EagleMania, with Lopez-Yañez conducting the Eagle's hits.
  • Aug. 1-2: Let’s Sing Taylor, a live Taylor Swift tribute band.
  • Aug. 8: Dark Star Orchestra, a Grateful Dead tribute that will include the complete set list from a 1980s Deer Creek performance. Concert begins at 7 p.m.
  • Aug. 9: Face2Face, a tribute to Billy Joel & Elton John.
  • Aug. 15: One Night of Queen, with Gary Mullen and the Works.
  • Aug. 16: The Fab Four, a Beatles tribute.
  • Aug. 22: Neil Forever, a Neil Diamond tribute.
  • Aug. 23: A1A, a Jimmy Buffett tribute.
  • Aug. 29: Invincible, a Michael Jackson tribute.
  • Aug. 30: Voyage, a Journey tribute.

Symphony on the Prairie tickets and what to know

Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. April 8 at indianapolissymphony.org. Patrons can also buy tickets at most central Indiana Kroger stores, the Hilbert Circle Theatre box office at 45 Monument Circle or by calling 317-639-4300. 

For a limited time, people can call or go online to mix and match four select concerts for $99 plus fees. Those who buy tickets to three or more concerts online or through the box office receive a 10% discount.

Patrons can bring in food and beverages and buy snacks on site as well as beer, wine and spirits.
