The Richmond Chamber Orchestra is set to present take an audience on a melodious journey through the north-eastern realms of Europe
The performance at the Georgian Theatre Royal titled Northern Lights will include works from Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, featuring compositions by Edvard Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Carl Nielsen, and Arvo Pärt.
Philippa Mo, a globally-recognised professional soloist, will be directing the Richmond Chamber Orchestra.
Philippa, who has recently toured Germany and performed at the Swaledale Festival, was seen on television during National Holocaust Day for her appearance in Sky Arts' The Lost Music of Auschwitz.
The Richmond Chamber Orchestra, known for its distinctive style of performing while standing up, comprises 18 musicians, with four additional members for this concert.
The ensemble, made up of professional, semi-professional, and amateur musicians from across Yorkshire, offers an intimate and engaging experience to the audience.
The concert is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, at 3pm.
