Alex Warren has propelled to fame thanks to his successful single "Ordinary" which has topped the music charts, but people are only just realising where the emotion in his songs comes from.

The 24-year-old, who is from California, first got recognised as a member of the TikTok group The Hype House - which involved influencers making videos together. In 2021 he was signed to Atlantic Records and, three years later, he released his single "Burning Down", as well as his debut album "You'll Be Alright, Kid". By 2024, the singer had more than 16.3million TikTok followers.

Alex's music, which fans cannot get enough of, often includes emotional and dark topics. He previously said his songs are often inspired by worship music.

But fans are only just realising how much the young star has been through - from losing his parents to being homeless. The star is proof that passion and hard work can take you to great heights.

A fan of the viral sensation shared a video clip about him on TikTok recently, and fans were left shocked. The video explained his life story, and said: "Alex Warren became homeless at 17. He started dating Kouvr and they started living in his car.

"He started making content to make money while being homeless. He started the Hype House...and left. He took a huge risk and started following his dream of making music, played his first show, he signed with Atlantic - his dream finally became reality."

"We made the right famous person," @alexwarrenclub added. Alex sadly lost his parents at a young age. His dad died from kidney cancer when he was just nine, and his mom, who was an alcoholic, kicked him out of the house in his teens. He was left homeless, and she died in 2021.

Alex told Headliner: "When I became homeless, I was sleeping in cars with my girlfriend [and now fiancé] and we would film these random videos. I posted a singing video and I got five views, and then I posted a cute video of me and her messing around in a car right before we went to bed and I woke up and that had around 6 million views. So I kept filming us when we had funny moments, I would post them and they did really well."

Because of the reaction to his videos online, Alex starred in Netflix's Hype House in 2022. But later that year, the group disbanded. Alex started his own podcast, called Locked in with Alex Warren, and was soon signed to his record deal.

Warren began dating Kourvr Annon in 2018. Four years later, Alex popped the question on New Year's Eve.

The pair got married last year in a romantic, ethereal garden. "When I met Kouvr, and the way she made me feel, I never wanted to let go of that feeling," Alex told PEOPLE.

Commenting on the TikTok video about his life, one person said: "I absolutely adore and love Alex Warren. He is such an amazing singer and he is so inspiring."

"I'm so proud to say I’ve been following his journey since before he started the hype house," said another. "His marriage speech to Kouvr was so tearing I was crying I only hope the best for them," said someone else.

"A definition of couple growing up together and becoming stronger together," commented one other. "Their life needs to be made into a movie," suggested another fan.

Someone else commented: "He deserves every success, I’m happy for him and marrying the love of his life. I wish them all the happiness and success."
