The Indian River High School boys’ lacrosse team lost a heartbreaker, 7-6, at Henlopen Conference rival Delmar on Tuesday, March 25, in the season-opener for both squads.
“We made too many mistakes and too many turnovers down the stretch,” said head coach Dave Spencer. “Delmar played a nice game.”
Sophomore attack Jack Spencer led the Indians (0-1) with a three-goal hat trick and one assist. Senior midfielder Aidan Binko added two goals, while senior Jamison Moore contributed a goal. Freshman Parker Moore collected three assists for the Indians.
Senior goalkeeper Logan Dawson made 12 saves.
