Next Monday, Ghajnsielem will be marking Freedom Day with a special concert – Strings Resound – under the musical direction of Pierre Louis Attard.

This eclectic concert for string orchestra, will blend the elegiac tones of the Lenten period with more festive ones.

The programme includes works by Maltese composers. Among others, Karl Jenkins’s Concerto Grosso ‘Palladio, ‘Albinoni-Giazzotto’s ‘Adagio’ and Charles Camilleri’s suite ‘Village Music.’

The date for the concert is Monday, the 31st of March, at the Old Parish Church Ghajnsielem, starting at 7.45pm. Admission is free of charge.

This event is supported by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning and the Ghajnsielem Local Council.
