New FREE music festival announced at iconic Scottish beauty spot this year with famous rocker on the line-up

A BRAND new music festival is coming to an iconic Scottish beauty spot this year - and it's free to attend.
Loch Lomond Unplugged will take place for the first time ever this spring, and a famous rocker is on the line-up.
The festival will take place on the Loch Lomond Shores, in Ben View Way, Alexandria, and will be held on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25.
Music lovers will be able to attend each day between 10am and 5pm.
The two-day event will be headlined by Ben Walker on the first day, and then Kyle Falconer from The View on the second day.
But it's not just famous stars that could be making a splash at the festival.

Loch Lomond Unplugged is hoping to find Scotland's next big thing and help launch the careers of those trying to break into the music industry.
Festival bosses are calling in talented and passionate buskers as well as singer-songwriters of all ages to apply to be part of the show's line-up.

The event, which is set to be hosted by radio DJ Jim Gellatly, is giving music fans the chance to perform in front of industry experts.
And they could even win a cash prize of up to £1,000 in the process.

Anyone interested in taking part will need to send a video of themselves performing to the team by May 2.
This will then be watched by pros including Jim and Kyle who will then pick 16 finalists to join the event's line-up.
They will all perform on stage on the Saturday before experts and the public vote on their favourite act.
The most-voted for top eight stars will then perform again on the Sunday and a winner will be crowned at the end of the day.

As well as musical performances, the family-fun event will also have food and market vendors.
Those who wish to attend the festival on either day can already get tickets online.
Even though it's free to attend, visitors must still reserve a spot and can do so on Eventbrite.

How to enter Loch Lomond Unplugged
HERE is everything you need to know if you want to be in with a chance of performing at the festival.
To enter, you need to do the following things before 5pm on Friday, May 2.
- Record a video - Capture your best performance! This could be a live busking session or a dedicated video showcasing your original songs or favourite covers – make sure it’s no more than 2 minutes long, recorded in 1080p with an aspect ratio of 9:16 (portrait mode)
- Send us your video - Upload your video via the online form on this page and include: Your name, contact information (phone/email), a brief bio, and a link to your social media or online profiles
- OR – You can email your video file to anne@lochlomondshores.com with the subject line “Lomond Unplugged Busking Competition.”
- OR – Upload your video file to https://wetransfer.com/ and send it to anne@lochlomondshores.com – & make sure you provide all the relevant contact details in the message section
- Our judges will pick the TOP 16 entries to perform live on stage on Saturday 24th May
- Performances will be uploaded online and a combination of public and judges votes will decide the TOP 8 who will play again on Sunday 25th May
- Our judges will then choose the overall winner and announce it during the Festival Finalé on Sunday, the 25th, before 5pm
