Hollywood star Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne have been spotted filming their new quiz show in Ireland.

The duo began filming season eight of their US quiz show Beat Shazam at the Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow.

The Oscar winner posted an Instagram video filmed at the five-star resort in which he was joined by his daughter and co-host.

"Hello! We're in Ireland," said Corinne.

"We are in Ireland shooting season eight," said Jamie.

"Beat Shazam!" Corinne Foxx added.

Beat Shazam is described by its US network Fox as "an interactive game show that pits teams of two against the clock and each other as they attempt to identify the biggest hit songs of all time".

"In the end, the team with the most money banked will go against Shazam, the popular song identification app, for the chance to win up to $1 million," according to the show's website.

Jamie also told his social media followers that he is "about to get up back on the joke train" and continue his career in stand-up comedy with live shows on tour.

The Ray and Collateral star thanked fans for their support and concluded: "And thank you to Ireland for letting us come here and stretch our legs and do our thing."
