Romeo Beckham and his brother Cruz both opted for an unusual choice in footwear on Monday, as they stepped out for a smoothie in London's Notting Hill.

Romeo, 22, commanded attention as he strolled back to their car wearing an eye-matching pair of bright yellow slippers decorated with smiley faces.

He teamed the bizarre shoes with an understated black hoodie and oversized grey sweatpants, hiding his face beneath a baseball cap.

While Cruz, 20, also opted for slippers for the outing, sporting a pair of more on-trend platform UGGs, adorned with embroidered cartoon characters.

He cut a casual figure in black jogging bottoms, a knitted beanie and a blue jumper emblazoned with a photo of The Beatles.

Cruz's appreciation for the iconic band goes far beyond clothing, as he is currently getting ready to release a debut single about wanting to be John Lennon.

The youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham is on the brink of launching his music career and has been joining forces with British Indie legends.

Last week, he teased his upcoming music on his Instagram, as he shared a snippet of a song about his hero John.

He and his band were filmed jamming on stage when Cruz approached the mic and sang: 'I wanna be John Lennon'.

The clip abruptly ended there with no further lyrics sung, though he offered further snippets of the instrumentals from the tune in addition to other pictures.

Cruz's musical offerings appeared to go down very well with his Instagram followers, who were quick to share their words of encouragement in the comments.

He kickstarted his career when he was just 11 years old and the Beckham family are said to have spent a small 'fortune' to help him create his sound with top songwriters.

And now the budding musician has become pals with Kooks frontman, Luke Pritchard, according to the Sun.

Luke said he is eager to help Cruz 'navigate' his future career in music, telling the publication: 'We started writing songs together and we've become mates.

'I'd just love to help him navigate [a career in music]. He's naturally going to come under criticism because of who his parents are - he's aware of that.'

Cruz reportedly signed with the top music management company C3, who worked with US indie group The Strokes, as well as Thirty Seconds To Mars.

It would mark his departure from TaP Music Management, which looked after pop acts including Dua Lipa to focus on a 'more guitar-led organic sound.'

A source told The Sun: 'His move from TaP was amicable but he's signed with C3 who manage rock bands like Thirty Seconds to Mars and Modest Mouse.

'They are more in line with where his music is evolving. Playing live is going to be a big part of the roll-out of his music and Cruz and his new team want to be sure it's perfect before he launches.'

Last month, it was also reported that Cruz had been working with writer Ed Frewett, who has four No1 singles already.

Ed was behind hits like Shout Out To My Ex and Black Magic for Little Mix, All Time Low and Glad You Came for The Wanted and Best Song Ever, Steal My Girl and History for One Direction

Cruz has also been working with producer Fred Ball, who has worked with Rihanna, Beyonce and Mariah Carey, and Joe Rubel, who has engineered records for Ed Sheeran
