BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Let’s take a look at what to do this Sunday.

Celebrate an iconic part of Vermont during what promises to be a very sweet Sunday. Over 90 maple sugar makers and maple partners across the state will open their doors to the public Saturday and Sunday with the chance to learn about the craft of sugar making and to try some maple products for yourself.

A documentary made by a filmmaker with Vermont roots is wrapping up its tour here in the state. The film, “Cresta Alta,” chronicles a journey to Alaska, Iceland, Chile, and Peru to document research expeditions on glaciers. The screening starts at 4 p.m. at Montpelier’s Savoy Theater. Tickets are $20.

Enjoy an afternoon at Burlington’s Main Street Landing for a performance of “Primary Trust.” This play is the winner of the 2024 Pulitzer Prize in drama, and revolves around Kenneth, an introverted bookstore worker, who is suddenly laid off and must face the world he’s avoided. The show begins at 2 p.m., and tickets start at $34.

Head to Cabot this evening for a duo on tour all the way from the Pacific Northwest. The Horsenecks play old time and classic bluegrass music on banjo and fiddle. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the music starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door.

Go on a fairy hunt today at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science, and help search the forest for hidden fairy friends in a scavenger hunt adventure. Afterwards, get hands-on in nature by using natural materials to build your very own fairy house. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $19.50 for adults and $16.50 for children.

Join the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra tonight for their 2025 spring program, “Spring Notes,” which celebrates the coming of spring. The program includes Mozart and Grieg, and will end with music by Vermont composer Gwyneth Walker. The concert is from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Montpelier City Hall Arts Center. Tickets are $20 for adults and is free for children.
