Multi-talented fan favourite Will Smith has a special message for fans as he swaps star-studded LA for a seaside town this summer.
Fans were surprised this week when ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ favourite, Will Smith, announced the unusual location of his first UK tour date.
With performances lined up for London, Manchester and Cardiff, people were astonished that the location chosen for his first UK gig was none other than peaceful seaside town of Scarborough, on the North Yorkshire coast.
Yesterday (Friday, March 21) Will released a video message for his UK fans where he said “I’m on my way”.
He said: “Yo UK, my first every tour. You got to go get it. I’m on my way.
“That’s my airplane. Scarborough, Cardiff, Manchester, London, it’s going to be hot!
“I’m about to go to the airport. I’m leaving now!”
Tickets for the concert at the TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre are available now.
His tour, Based on a True Story, will see Will perform singles from his new album of the same name, as well as classics such as ‘Jiggy Wit It’, ‘Miami’ and ‘Summertime’.
The 14-track album, which features collaborations with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Talor and Jac Ross, is the first Will has released in 20 years, and is set to be released on March 28.
Smith also promised to perform new singles including, ‘First Love’, ‘Beautiful Scars’, ‘TANTRUM’, ‘Work of Art’.
The star recently made a comeback to the number one spot with ‘You Can Make It’ on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart, marking his first chart-topper since 1998’s ‘Jiggy Wit It’.
Smith debuted ‘You Can Make It’ in a powerful performance at the 2024 BET Awards, standing in a fire pit surrounded by real flames.
