Andhra Pradesh: Doctor, His Wife, 2 Kids, Mother Found Dead Inside Home In Vijayawada

The relatives of the victim's family stated that the family was going through harsh financial conditions and this might have forced the doctor to take such an extreme step.

Vijayawada: A 40-year-old doctor along with four members of the family were found dead at their home in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada on Tuesday, said cops. The deceased include an orthopedic doctor, D. Srinivas, his wife(38), two kids(9 & 8), and mother(65) in the Patamata neighborhood.

As per the police, the bodies were seen by the house help, she found the doctor hanging on the balcony. She immediately informed the neighbors, who then called the police.

Upon reaching, police found the bodies of Srinivas' wife Usha, daughter Sailaja, son Srihan, and mother Ramanamm. As per the cops, it looks like they were all strangled to death.

Police suspect that the doctor might have killed his family members and then committed suicide. The bodies have been sent for autopsy and a probe has begun.

Srinivas might have taken the extreme step due to his persisting financial problems, said relatives as per the police. Recently, he started a hospital but had to sell after facing losses. Since then he has been facing financial issues.
