When you discover a beauty product that is backed by the likes of Kendall Jenner - as well as icons like Victoria Beckham, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Blake Lively and Margot Robbie, you might assume it costs a fortune. So I was absolutely delighted to discover that one product I use on a daily basis is actually pretty affordable - and also a staple in many celebs' routines.

Caudalie's Beauty Elixir, which Kendall shared was part of her skincare regime for sun-kissed skin "to refresh" in a video for Vogue recently here, costs £18 for a 30ml bottle and is available from the likes of Boots, Sephora and Space NK.

The Beauty Elixir is said to have been inspired by the Youth Elixir of the Queen of Hungary in the 16th century. It has a plant-based formula that instantly boosts your skin's radiance while tightening pores, smoothing fine lines and keeping your make-up in place throughout the day.

The multi-use face mist, which is infused with natural ingredients like the anti-oxidant rich green grape, orange blossom and essential oils like peppermint, rose, rosemary and lemon balm, also works beautifully in calming, soothing and revitalising tired skin. It's a great way to perk up your afternoon slump.

What I love about this mist, which I received in Lookfantastic's Beauty Egg earlier this year, is that it can be used at the start and end of your day as well as on the go to quickly add some hydration and luminescence to your skin - something Rosie Huntington-Whitely loves. She explained in an interview with W Magazine, where she cited the Caudalie Beauty Elixir as a 'make-up miracle': "I discovered Caudalie backstage at a fashion show like 10 years ago, it’s been one of those products that I’ve really kept with me ever since. It’s a product you can use all day, everyday throughout your day. There’s no right or wrong way to use it, and it just feels incredible.

"It’s such a revival for the skin, it’s a great way to set makeup, I love it use on the a hot day, or even just to have one in my handbag. It’s brilliant for traveling, it’s fantastic for keeping the skin supple and glowy and moisturized during flights and certainly great when you’re landing after a long redeye. It’s just one of those products I’ve not had be a part of my makeup bag."

I couldn't agree more - plus, it smells divine thanks to its essential oil fragrance infused with citrus-y bitter orange and subtle rose - thanks to the rosa damascena flower oil in the formula - and each time I use it, I feel like I have traipsed into a spa.

While I love it for a quick complexion refresh in the afternoon, my favourite time to use the mist is in the morning, just like Kendall, as it really helps to wake my skin up nicely and feels like a gentle misted toner. I tend to apply it after I've washed my face with my favourite Perricone MD cleansing balm and before my moisturiser, as instructed. And while the natural ingredients work their magic on nourishing my bare face, I enjoy the slight cooling, mint-esque tingle on my skin that feels like its really working to hydrate deeply to leave me with a lovely glow that's not just surface level. Plus, my pores appear smaller since using it, which is always a win.

What's more is the mist doubles up as a setting spray. Fashion and beauty icon Victoria Beckham tweeted about it some years ago, saying: "Caudalie from Paris gives u a "glowing complexion" use it on top of your make up x vb" - and leaves your make-up smooth, complexion dewy and you looking great. Giving your face a quick spritz throughout the day will also give your make-up a bit of a refresh and prevent your skin from looking too oily (if, like mine, it's sometimes prone to doing that).

The product has even garnered an incredible 4.6 star rating on Sephora as well as over 1,200 reviews, with one citing it as an 'amazing skincare spray' that 'works wonders for my skin'.

One shopper explained: "This is my second bottle of this amazing skincare spray, and I can't get enough of it! I've discovered that using it under my cream works wonders for my skin. It leaves my complexion incredibly smooth and helps minimize the appearance of pores. The botanical scent is so pleasant and adds a refreshing touch to my skincare routine. Every time I spray it on, my face feels instantly refreshed. I've learned that shaking the bottle before each use ensures the best results. I'm truly impressed with this product and can't recommend it enough. It's become an essential part of my skincare regimen, and I'll definitely be repurchasing it in the future."

Another, who is a self-proclaimed 'face mist junkie', revealed the Caudalie Beauty Elixir to be her favourite. They said: "I am obsessed with face mists. I’m constantly trying new ones, but I always come back to this one (seriously I buy it in between trying every other face mists!) I’ve tried the Tatcha (£23 for a 12ml bottle), Drunk Elephant (£30.40), Laneige (£19), and Mario Badescu (£5), to name just a few, and this one is by far my favourite. It’s so light and fresh and cooling—plus it’s not sticky like so many others.

"It has a nice cooling mint kind of feel, which is just so lovely and refreshing when you need a pick me up. I’ll use it as a toner if I’m feeling lazy, I’ll use it as a setting spray just to feel that cooling mist, and I’ll use it midday just to feel refreshed. Seriously can’t recommend enough!"

Others didn't just love its refreshing spritz but were blown away by the spray's ability to help "clear my oily, blemish-prone skin and improve the texture and look".

While the majority of reviewers - including me - are 'spellbound' by this product, others have noted how it can cause your eyes to sting, so best practice is to ensure your eyes are shut when you mist it over your face or - as one shopper suggested - spray it as you would a perfume and walk into the solution.

For me, however, it's certainly a product I will keep in my make-up bag and although it's a little pricey at £18 for a travel-sized bottle, it lasts a long time and gives a gorgeous, natural glow in just one spritz. Not to mention - if it's good enough for Kendall Jenner and Victoria Beckham at less than £20, it's good enough for me.
