Where did Mandisa die

According to ABC News, the American Idol alum who competed on season 5 of the talent show was found dead in her home on April 18.

"At this time, we do not know the cause of death or any further details. We ask for your prayers for her family and close-knit circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time. Mandisa was a voice of encouragement and truth to people facing life’s challenges all around the world," said a representative.

Mandisa was popularly known for her song Overcomer and Stronger, which gained fame as her hits took over the airwaves globally.

In 2014, her album Overcomer won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

Various celebrities, especially in Christian circles, have mourned the late singer and recalled how she impacted their lives.

Kenyan gospel singer took to social media to express how shocked she was while noting that she grew up listening to Mandisa.

She said:

"Whoosh. What shall we say to a woman whose music carried us through many dark nights and high tides? Rest well, Mandisa. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world."

South African singer Zahara dies

Elsewhere, 2024 has recorded so many deaths that snatched many public figures. South African singer Bulelwa Mkutukana, popularly known as Zahara, died in December 2023.

The 35-year-old South African singer had been reportedly fighting for her life in hospital from apparent liver complications and sadly succumbed to her illness.

Sources say that Zahara and her fiancé, Mpho Xaba, had completed their dowry negotiations and were looking forward to starting a life together before she fell ill.
