The highly coveted event, which spans across two weekends in April and sees a slew of huge artists take to the stage every year, kicked off on Friday, April 14 - and all weekend, TikTok was flooded with videos showcasing some of the jaw-dropping prices for the various treats offered at the festival.

Many people who attended Coachella during the first weekend shared footage detailing everything they consumed, as well as how much they paid for each thing - and social media users could not believe the immense costs.

One user, named Jackie Tanti, went viral after she revealed she spent more than $60 on two burritos and two iced coffees.

'I think I’d be in debt for the rest of my life if I went to Coachella for a weekend,' a different user responded.

Last but not least, she finished the night with a set of three sliders with tater tots for $26 from Something Good LA. In total, across one day at the festival, she spent a whopping $111.

Another TikToker, named Shane Yang, also broke down what he spent on food during the festival.

He paid $18.50 for chicken tenders and fries, $20 for a tuna poke bowl, and $18 for pad thai with tofu.

Someone else, named Magda, said she forked over a total of $113.64 in one day. She got an iced tea for $12.51, a Greek Gyro for $15.22, a beer for $15.22, a corn dog for $14.14, and a piece of funnel cake for $12.51.

A different influencer, named Brittany Xavier, paid $10 for onion rings, $25 for a carton of noodles, and $12 for a coffee.

In comparison, someone on Reddit shared all the prices for the food offered at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago in 2018.

At the event, a slice of pizza cost only $5, while a double cheeseburger was $7. Chicken tenders and fries, on the other hand, were $10, and a bowl of cheesy fries was $8.

In 2015, a food blogger for SunSentinel.com revealed how much they spent on food at the Ultra Music Festival in Florida, and they paid $7 for pizza, a $13 for turkey leg, $5 for a hot dog, and $10 for chicken strips with fries.
