New Study: Hungary, Paris Have Best Tourist Attractions

Following

Naming the world’s best and worst tourist attractions is certainly subjective and an inexact science. A new analysis by a United Kingdom-based luggage storage service yields some surprising choices.

The world’s best attraction is the Hungarian Parliament building in Budapest, Hungary, according to analysts at Stasher who ranked 99 tourist destinations based on Google reviews, quality of accommodations, distance to the nearest international airport, tourist safety and TikTok popularity.

The neo-Gothic building, home to the National Assembly, stands next to the Danube River and has been a World Heritage Site since 2011. It is one of the world’s “most stunning” buildings, “an invaluable part of our national treasure and the pride of the Hungarian nation,” Hungary’s government website says. The building, according to Stasher, scored highly for Google reviews, TikTok popularity and quality local accommodations.

The second-best tourist attraction is Disneyland Paris, Stashers’ analysis concludes. The 5,510-acre theme park received high scores for Google reviews and quality local accommodations and is the most popular attraction on TikTok, the analysis shows.

Rounding out Stasher’s Top 5 are Iceland’s Blue Lagoon, Plaza de España in Seville, Spain, and Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

“The best attractions display great diversity in location and culture, featuring attractions from Europe, South America, Asia and Australasia,” Stasher’s analysts conclude. “Evidently, Europe dominates the Top 5, showcasing the best tourist safety and TikTok engagement levels.”

The worst of the 99 tourist attractions analyzed, according to Stasher, is the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey, ranks second worst, and India’s Taj Mahal ranks third worst.
