Tickets for the event are set to go on sale on Friday (January 20) with presale opening for 02 priority customers on Wednesday (January 18) at 9am.

Event bosses are promising a ‘superb’ night of entertainment from the boyband member-turned-presenter of BBC’s The One Show.

Speaking on the announcement, Executive Director of Newcastle Racecourse Paul Elliot said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Ronan Keating to Newcastle on Saturday 29th July. He is a global icon and one of the country’s most popular artists.

“We’re sure that he’ll blow our customers away with a live performance that matches his worldwide reputation. We are anticipating a sell-out crowd, so would encourage our customers to book sooner, rather than later.”

Keating joins a host of other big names set to play to crowds in the North East this summer.

Newcastle-lad Sam Fender will play to two sell-out crowds at St James’ Park in June, on the same weekend as international superstar Pink! headlines Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.

Michael Bublé and Olly Murs will also both play Newcastle’s Utilita Arena this Spring.

Tickets for Keating’s gig can be booked through Ticketmaster.
