Indian singer Arijit Singh recently garnered headlines for charging 16 lakhs for his concert. Amidst the country’s craze for him, Arijit fans were left disappointed as the singer's management team chose a location that ended up being a misfit. As reports of people getting injured and stampede-like situations prevented started doing rounds, one of his team members refuted such claims.

Taking to Twitter, a netizen shared that the event was organised at a venue surrounded by construction sites making it chaotic.

The user wrote, “Fans of Arijit Singh from Ahmedabad were highly disappointed with organizers of the concert. In spite of spending big amount on ticket, people had to face chaos and mismanagement. Because the Venue was surrounded by construction sites, there was potholes and mud on their way to venue. Entire road was waterlogged. People had no clue about directions too.”

Reacting to the entire situation, Azhar Shaikh from Arijit's team told Republic Media Network, "There was no stampede as such. The event went on with proper coordination and planning. There was no such case, where people had to get stitches like you are saying. You can ask Gypsie and 3rd Eye Events, no overbooking was done.”

Pakistan’s Ali Zafar recently appreciated Arijit Singh for promising a fan that he’ll come to Pakistan soon.

During his Houston concert in September this year, in an interaction with a Pakistani fan, Arijit reportedly said, “You can rest your arms over there, the person from Pakistan,” and added, “I will come to Pakistan.” It was also last year that during his Abu Dhabi concert that Arijit had said "I don't follow the news but tell me one thing, has music from Pakistan been banned in India?" He further asked, "Is it still barred or has the ban been lifted?”

Ali Zafar in an interview with Connect FM Canada said, “Jo bhi insaan insaniyat se juda hoga vo insaniyat mein hi believe karega. Arijit ki daad is cheez pe banti hai ki ek bade manch par khade, hoke bekhauf hoke pyaar ki baat karna. I think Arijit is a beautiful human being, and a singer.”

“His persona is full of humanity, his voice has innocence. I have never met him, but seeing him and listening to him, I get a sense that he is a very good person,” Ali added. Arijit who became the country’s heartthrob with Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2 once said, "Atif Aslam is one of my favourites and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shafqat Amanat Ali.”
