A one of a kind production celebrating the resilience and generosity of the Colorado Community in a time of crisis is coming to three colorado outdoor venues next month.
An eight-person cast will be sharing the real-life stories from 2020’s East Troublesome Fire. This production will include original songs written by some of Colorado’s top folk musicians, including; Cary Morin, Chimney Choir, Daniel Rodriguez, Elephant Revival, Gregory Alan Isakov, and SHEL.
The story gives a snapshot of the lives of eight Grand County residents as they face the historic fire of last year. These include a local fire marshal, a park ranger, a reporter, and other evacuees.
The show which Jessica Kahkoska wrote, directed by Chris Coleman and features musical direction by Mark G. Meadows, was produced in partnership with History Colorado.
Ticket prices start at $30, with 8% of each ticket going towards the Grand Foundation’s Grand County Wildfire Emergency Fund. Showings will only be at outdoor venues starting August 16 at the Levitt Pavilion in Denver, August 18 at the Dillon Amphitheater, and August 20 at the Rendezvous Event Center in Winter Park.
