The Chase fans were left feeling "seasick" this evening over a player's unusual habit during his cash-builder round.

New episodes of the popular quiz show began earlier this month, after ITV aired a series of repeats following the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

ITV's The Chase has become a phenomenally successful quiz show since it burst onto our screens in 2009.

It regularly pulls in a staggering three to five million viewers.

Bradley Walsh plays host and the show gives keen quizzers the opportunity to build and win an impressive cash jackpot - if they can prove themselves when pitting their wits against one of the eponymous Chasers.

Four strangers work as a team against one of the Chasers, who are among the finest quizzing brains in the world. Players must first try and beat a Chaser in a solo head-to-head where they try and earn some money for the rest of the team and bag a spot in the Final Chase.

In the final round, all successful players then try and correctly answer more questions than a Chaser in order to take home the prize fund.

If the team wins, the jackpot is split equally among the players.

Tonight's new episode saw players Christian, Melanie, Marc and Kathy go up against Anne 'the Governess' Hegerty, who boasts impressive win stats on the show.

Player Marc got viewers taking when he began his cash-builder round. The player, who works as a computer programmer and writes code, told Bradley Walsh he'd like to win money to run a marathon abroad.

But fans were distracted by Marc's constant side-to-side rocking while he spoke and answered questions.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One viewer said: "I'm getting motion sickness."

Another said: "Weird. Just stand still man."

Kev said: "Is he standing on a skateboard?"

Andi said: "All this rocking is making me feel seasick."

Steve commented: "Ants in his pants."

Gillian added: "He’s on a hover board!"
