Adele's sensational weight loss was aided by a fitness guru who trained Lady Gaga.

And she hired a personal chef on the recommendation of her Hollywood star pal Cameron Diaz.

The world went wild over snaps of Adele’s slimline body that were released on her 32nd birthday last week.

And friends of the singer revealed how the she got help from specialist.

One is Los Angeles-based trainer Harley Pasternak whose A-list clients have included Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

A source revealed: “Adele is feeling incredible at the moment and her weight loss is due to a lot of things but she is also been getting tips from Harley.

“Lady Gaga told her how brilliant Harley was. And that convinced Adele to get in touch.”

Adele lost seven stone

Pasternak prescribes 35-minute strength training sessions five times a week with exercises for the abdominals, bum and arms.

Adele is also said to have hired Los Angeles chef Jason Harley on the advice of Cameron Diaz because “she’s not a fan of cooking – especially when she’s dieting”.

It was previously reported that Adele followed the Sirtfood diet, which would include three green juices and one meal a day for three days a week and then 1,200 calories a day for four days a week.

The source said: “She would have a green juice in the morning then work out. The she wouldn’t usually eat until 3am or 4pm so she was also doing a lot of intermittent fasting.

“Her meals would be stuff like shrimp stir fry with buckwheat noodles, chicken with kale and her treats would be these chocolate bites which were made with cocoa powder, dates, turmeric and walnuts.”

The Someone Like You singer is reckoned to have lost up to seven stone since she started her rigorous dieting and fitness regime.

Adele who grew up in Tottenham, North London, now lives in health-obsessed Los A after filing for divorce from husband Simon Konecki, 46 – dad of her seven-year-old son Angelo – last year.

She sent fans into meltdown last Tuesday after sharing a snap of her smiling on Instagram sporting a tight black mini-dress on her 32nd birthday.

The rare post – her first this year – was also to thank people for their birthday greetings and salute front-line workers battling coronavirus.

It was quickly followed by another stunning pic shared by her friend Lauren Paul showing the star leaning against a wall while rocking a polo-neck mini-dress.

On it Lauren wrote: “You glow because your heart is full.” Insiders say Adele’s weight loss has been masterminded to coincide with her first album for five years – which had been expected this September.

Adele named her three previous studio albums after her age at the time she wrote them – 19, 21 and 25.

Some have speculated that the £144million Hello singer turned to extreme measures to shed weight, including bariatric surgery.

But her former London-based personal trainer slammed the rumours, insisting his client did it the hard way.

Pete Geracimo wrote on Instagram: “It’s disheartening to read fat-phobic accusations questioning the genuineness of her amazing weight loss.

“In my experience of working with her through many highs and lows, she always marched to the beat of her own drum on her own terms.

“She never undermined her God-given talent in any way. She never once pretended to be something she wasn’t.”

Pete went on: “When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny.

“It was about getting her healthy. Especially post pregnancy and post surgery.

"When 25 dropped and the tour was announced, we had to get ready for a 13-month gruelling schedule. In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices.

“As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice.

“Since she moved to LA, she underwent some tough personal changes.

“It’s only natural that with change comes a new sense of self and wanting to be your best possible version. This metamorphosis is not for album sales, publicity or to be a role model.”

Pete finished his plea with the words: “My hope is that people appreciate the hard work that Adele has done to improve herself for the benefit to her and her family only.

“She did not lose the weight to make others feel bad about themselves.

“This personal transformation has nothing to do with me or you. It’s about Adele and how she wants to live her life. She has not changed from the Adele we grew up with and have loved.

“There is just a little less of her to go around.”

Adele – one of the most successful British singers ever – previously told how she wanted to “get in shape for myself, but not to be a size zero or anything like that”.

She promised that she wasn’t giving up carbs altogether, vowing: “I’d never deprive myself like that! I’m not, like, skipping to the f***ing gym. I don’t enjoy it. I do like doing weights.

“I don’t like looking in the mirror. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I’m so conscious when I’m lifting weights not to let them burst in my face.

“And if I don’t tour, you’ll catch me back down at the Chinese.”

Adele split from her husband Konecki last April after eight years and the divorce settlement has been kept private.

Adele was unavailable for comment.
