Dr Weiner went on to state this issue is so serious that some states that have banned the use of Latex gloves. Latex is a protein contained in the sap of the Brazilian rubber tree (Hevea brasilliensis). Dr Weiner then went on to discuss his ongoing work finding other materials that are used to produce gloves, like vinyl, PHP, etc. The center of which is his ongoing research with the non-biodegradability of Health care gloves.
He then went back to the subject of the health hazards of Latex. He spoke of a few more warnings that can help people, who have certain food allergies, may have allergies to Latex. This is sometimes called a Cross reaction. A few examples of some of those food items include chestnut, hazelnuts, wheat, rye, tomatoes, avocados and peaches. However, he added that he will have to add the population's health risks to the issues of biodegradability. He stated if he ignored the allergy or serious illness caused by any of these plastic problems, he would be negligent on his part to help society.
