A gala concert dedicated to Culture Days of the Republic of Belarus was held at the State Grand Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, UzA reported.
Representatives of various ministries and departments, cultural and educational institutions, diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, art lovers were invited to the concert with participation of artists and young performers of Belarus.
Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan B.Sayfullayev, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus I.Driga noted the incomparable role of art in strengthening friendship and harmony between people, expansion of cultural and educational ties.
Uzbek-Belarusian cultural ties are developing consistently. Young opera performers, choreographers and musicians of Uzbekistan are successfully participating in international competitions held in Belarus. At the same time, the works of Belarusian artists and photographers are regularly exhibited at the international Biennale and photo exhibitions in Tashkent. Specialists of library and museum business, the sphere of education of this country are actively participating in conferences organized in Uzbekistan.
The best examples of Belarusian music and dance art with rich and ancient traditions were performed at the concert.
