BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - It's another cool morning for us.  Most of us experienced temperatures in the 40s to 50s.

But a few areas even dropped into the upper 30s this morning!

Look for another sunny day today, but warmer with highs in the upper 70s

If you're going to the Florida-Georgia line concert tonight you can expect mostly clear skies with temperatures in the 60s.

Friday looks mostly sunny with temperatures near 80. If you're heading to a high school football game, we could see a few clouds by Friday evening but it should remain dry. Expect temperatures in the 60s.

The weekend forecast is a bit of a mixed bag. Expect increasing clouds during the afternoon and early evening. Highs will reach the upper 70s. The forecast looks dry for the UAB or Alabama game. It is possible we could see a few passing showers in Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Auburn game. It will be a good idea to have the WBRC First Alert weather app handy if you're going to be out and about. With the new follow me function, the app will even update you on the current weather when you're away from home.

Clouds will increase on Sunday with a chance for showers and thunderstorms late in the day on Sunday.

The best chance for rain will be in West Alabama after 2pm and continue to spread eastward through the evening. There is a good chance for rain Sunday night and especially Monday. Highs will reach the lower 80s. There is no severe weather expected, but we could see a few thunderstorms.

Rain chances look high on Monday ahead of a strong cold front. Highs will reach the mid 70s. Cooler temperatures are in the forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the mid 60s.
