Antigua & Barbuda vows to maintain relationship with Cuba, Venezuela

 
The Government of Antigua & Barbuda has vowed to continue its relationship with Venezuela and Cuba despite renewed U.S. sanctions and trade restrictions targeting the region.
 
The cabinet of the twin-island nation says it will not follow others on a path of enmity
 
The country has acknowledged that that U.S. trade policies, including a new embargo against Venezuela, threatens several programmes in Antigua & Barbuda that are supported through PetroCaribe credit arrangements.
 
The Gaston Browne administration says Antigua & Barbuda sees Venezuela and Cuba as regional partners, not adversaries.
