Amazon Music: Alexa’s Top Lyric Request in 2017 Was For a ‘Roley, Roley, Roley’

If it’s December, you know it’s “best-of” list time, and Amazon Music is happy to join in on the fun with new year-end tallies. Aside from a list of most-played tracks on Amazon Music Unlimited, topped by Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” and Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” the tech giant has compiled a quirky list of all the top lyric requests for voice-assistant Alexa.

The year’s most requested lyric is Ayo & Teo’s “Rolex,” with most people asking Alexa to play the song that goes “I just wanna Roley, Roley, Roley.” Listeners also really wanted Alexa to crank up that song with “I’m a rebel just for kicks” (Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still”) and “swish, swish, bish” (Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish”).

Amazon introduced its Top 50 Alexa Lyrics list in October, illustrating how Alexa is “opening a window into an entirely new way for fans to search for music, and some of the results might surprise you.”
